The Ox Cart is Rolling
November 2011

The Ox Cart Trails Historical Society wants you.  The historical society held its quarterly meeting Oct. 25th and sends an appeal to past and present Drayton residents who are willing to share their stories. Contact Marlys Boll if you are willing to be interviewed or write your own story.  The society also welcomes any family genealogies you have compiled to add to the library.

The historical society could also use new members, especially those willing to help with various planned projects.  Plans are to catalog the remaining items stored in the Johnson Hall basement and also to do some winterizing on some of the museum displays.  Putting brick under the grain cart is also in the works.

Plans for Old Fashioned Christmas include a pot luck supper Dec.1st  at the Johnson Hall where members are asked to come and help fill candy bags and decorate.  At Old Fashioned Christmas Dec. 3rd the society will have a booth where the DVD of “Bound for Blessing” will be available, as well as many of Lauraine Snelling’s books, including her newest VALLEY OF DREAMS.
