Drayton Riverfest
2010

Dominating society members' schedules for Riverfest 2010 was a second run of Bound for Blessing, the society's stage production based on Lauraine Snelling's Red River of the North book series. Added this year was some original music commissioned by the society just for the play. Many of the 2009 actors returned, several were new to the production, and modifications were made to accommodate some new material. What a great time everyone had and what a superb production was created.

We also made an entry in the Riverfest parade, hosted a writing seminar by Lauraine Snelling, and opened the museum and grounds for tours.

Supper at the Soddy returned for a 4th annual showing, complete with stew cooking over an open fire, servers in period dress, wonderful music provided by Laurel and Lyndon Johnson, beautiful weather, and big crowds.
